Earlier concerts.
Our annual Christmas Concert was held in St Mary’s Church, Sanderstead on July 6th. The varied program ranged from traditional carols to Christmas choir arrangements and of course some traditional carols. It was interspersed with flute pieces, beautifully played by Alison Blackwell, solos from Mary Boyle and a humorous monologue from Jenny Stanley. Our guests were further entertained with a raffle during the interval while they enjoyed refreshments laid on by the members of the choir. Our heartfelt thanks must go to our musical director Audrey Thomas and our accompanist Bob Dear who worked so hard to make sure we were concert ready and of course to the members of the choir for their enthusiasm and commitment to Cantilena Singers. Finally, a big thank you to all our friends and family members who came to support us and the staff of St Mary’s for welcoming us into their lovely Church.
