Our Christmas concert is being held at St Mary’s Church, Sanderstead on Thursday 7th December at 7.30 pm. See the flyer below.
Our annual Summer Concert was held in St Mary’s Church, Sanderstead on July 6th. We were delighted that so many people came to enjoy the songs that we had been working on since our last concert at Christmas. The varied program ranged from traditional folk songs to show tunes and was interspersed with flute pieces, beautifully played by Alison Blackwell, solos from Mary Boyle and a humorous monologue from Jenny Stanley. Our guests were further entertained with a raffle during the interval while they enjoyed refreshments laid on by the members of the choir. Our heartfelt thanks must go to our musical director Audrey Thomas and our accompanist Bob Dear who worked so hard to make sure we were concert ready and of course to the members of the choir for their enthusiasm and commitment to Cantilena Singers. Finally, a big thank you to all our friends and family members who came to support us and the staff of St Mary’s for welcoming us into their lovely Church.
